The Commonwealth Shakespeare Company held an amazing gala last night, April 2, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Boston to raise money for their upcoming season. Inspired by the play All’s Well That Ends Well, which will be showing on the common this summer, the night was themed Une Soirée à Paris. CSC is a small but fierce company that is dedicated to performing the works of William Shakespeare in vital and contemporary productions that are presented free of charge to the Boston community. They also educate Boston’s youth not only about Shakespeare but also about their own potential for creativity. Abbott Imaging was lucky enough to be apart of the gala and captured the fun and excitement of the night. The event began at 6:30 with a cocktail hour in a beautifully decorated Parisian inspired room. Guests were greeted by a mime, a painter, caricaturists, and a spectacular array of “street vendors.”

After the cocktail hour guests were ushered into the ballroom where the night was filled with magical performances and delicious wine and food.

The night was brought to an end by an extremely talented band, Joey Scott and the Connection, whose set ranged from Chuck Berry to Katy Perry.

It was a great night with the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company. Please support this wonderful organization.
